There's a brand new writer on the scene, and his first book, a collaboration with Matt Ottley was given a fabulous launch at Hale School in Wembley, Perth on the 28th of July. His name is Danny Parker and his first wonderful picture book is called No Kind of Superman, edited by the wonderful Helen Chamberlin and published by Windy Hollow Books.

Danny has been writing his fingers to the bone and there will be further collaborations with Matt in the coming year. The next title will be called Henry, a Little Story About Big Things, published by Little Hare.

Matt thanks Isabel Owen, a student at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School for her response to Home and Away. 'Thanks Isabel, your deeply moving words have meant a lot to me' - Matt. (Isabel's response can be seen in the Books page - Young Adult section, Home and Away.)
